Biography

An experienced accountant with around eight years in the profession, Wes has developed a broad background across taxation, accounting and bookkeeping, working with clients across a diverse range of businesses and industries.

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance at Monash University, Wes began his accounting career in an internal finance role before moving into public practice with a boutique accounting firm. He later joined a larger firm before coming to Alexander Spencer as an Intermediate Accountant. Over more than four years with the firm, Wes has continued to progress into increasingly senior roles and is now responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients and supporting the broader accounting team.

In his role at Alexander Spencer, Wes works closely with clients to ensure their accounting and taxation requirements are effectively managed while developing strong, long-term relationships. With solid taxation knowledge and a strong background in bookkeeping, he takes an adaptable approach to working with businesses across different industries and at varying stages of growth.

Wes also plays an important role in the development of the Alexander Spencer team. He oversees client work, reviews, WIP and billing, while supporting the partners with the management of the team and practice. As a leader, Wes focuses on empowering his team, helping them develop their skills and supporting their progression throughout their careers.

Wes particularly enjoys working with clients who value a collaborative relationship with their advisers. He aims to build strong partnerships with clients, understand their businesses and support them as they continue to develop and grow.

Outside of work, Wes enjoys discovering new places to eat, travelling and watching shows. He also enjoys badminton, basketball and snowboarding and has a keen interest in design, watches and cars.
